Totana City Council request the Housing and Land Institute of the Ministry of Public Works and Planning of the Autonomous Community development actions and investments for the construction, maintenance and remodeling of public advocacy in the area.
Through this initiative, launched jointly by the Department of Social Welfare and Housing, which was approved unanimously by the political groups in the plenary session last April, it requested a study-inventory of needs and improvements performed in community spaces and the residential group homes as well as making them.
Also, the City will request the transfer and adaptation of the premises located at the ground floor of housing advocacy group Public Argentina street, as not serving any purpose being in state of disrepair and neglect, to reconvert in multipurpose room development of social promotion programs for residents in these homes.
Likewise, be encouraged to assess, in coordination with the municipal engineers involved, the construction and acquisition in the town of Totana of new public housing promotion, according to criteria of territorial dispersion, in order to promote decent housing for people and families in social need of the locality.
The councilman of Social Welfare, said Totana has three blocks of flats in public advocacy on its territory aimed at providing housing for individuals and families who have some kind of social problems such as the group Argentina residential street, dating from the late 80's and has in some areas and buildings of various flaws and shortcomings.
Therefore, the City Council of Totana, in order to protect the occupation of these houses as well as social advancement of its residents, has developed a number of actions of physical preservation of the environment and social programs and interventions to support the organization and development staff and community members.
In this way, the mayor expressed the need for competent management involves more on the physical preservation of the residential environment and provide the means to proceed to develop policies that encourage neighborhood organization and promotion.
