The Department of Economic Development hosted the "First Prize for Family Business Career City Totana 2010" with the purpose of public recognition for the work of family businesses located in the territory of the town of Totana.
This initiative, which was approved by the full City Council of Totana, last April with votes for the PP, PSOE's abstention and voting against IU, aims to encourage and reward the efforts of families incorporation into the world of business and its contribution to economic and social development of our town.
In this sense, the industry council pointed out that this initiative comes from the economic and social development of the productive totanero family firms have both its mainstream presence as being the main source of job creation and the Aimed at raising awareness, encouraging and rewarding those companies totaneras family that have been perpetuated over time, through several generations, achieving success in the market.
They can choose to award the family business (both self-employed persons or partnership arrangements) that meet requirements such as concentration of ownership in the hands of a member or family group, defined to be the majority share of social capital company of one or more branches of the same family, the participation of one, all or some of the household members in corporate governance and the existence of a "philosophy" own business, headed by its spirit of generational continuity in the business.
The basic criteria to be considered for the Prize are among others the origin and historical evolution of the company, continuity of generations in the family business, number of present generation business prestige and recognition, ethics, image, codes of behavior and existence of rules for family-business relations.
The deadline for submitting proposals for the Prize, to be submitted by writing to the Mayor-President of the City of Totana check Totana City Council, Citizens Advice Service (SAC), will remain open until 14 : 00 pm on Friday, May 21, 2010.
