The Councillor for New Technologies, Juan Carrion Tudela, recalled that the digital switchover, scheduled for April 3 has been brought forward to tomorrow Tuesday 23 March, following a meeting with the Government Office and the Ministry of Industry, where agreed to the termination date of analog and intensified information campaign aimed at all citizens.
This cease analog affect 27 municipalities of the Region of Murcia, which depend on Carrascoy repeater, and in which resides a population of over 1.2 million people.
For this, the council has recommended to the people of Totana to adjust your antenna in advance of the March 10 because from then until the 23rd of this month, will begin the process to cease analog.
Thus, the council recalled the actions of the communication plan that has been carried out in this last phase of the implementation of DTT, which have launched several ways to outreach to inform citizens as well programming direct encounters with neighbors and shifting bus arrival information of DTT to the municipality and other information points.
The campaign, which has sought to reach all groups and the public awareness of the importance of adapting to new technology before the impending blackout, has been focused on conducting a series of actions to inform and sensitize the Citizenship of the consequences of this switch-off and how to adapt to the new digital terrestrial television.
