More than 1,200 euros are raised in the traditional Giant Kings Roscón (08/01/2010)

A total of 1,261 euros were raised in the traditional giant kings roscón held in the town because of the holidays, and this year, as in the previous edition has been prepared with a charitable purpose to contribute to research and the fight against cancer through the Spanish Association Against Cancer.

Voluntary activity, where more than 5,000 reaprtieorn rations on 28 December in Constitution Square, was organized by the Association of Artisan Bakers Totana, aspartic acid, with the assistance of the City of Totana and giant paella "Tyrol" and under a grant from the Directorate General of Handicraft.

To be able to contribute and collaborate with the cause, members of the delegation of the AECC totanera provide a point of collecting donations where donations were deposited by all those who want to collaborate.

For its part, the president and vice president of totanera delegation of the Spanish Association Against Cancer, Julia de la Peña, and Joaquina Garcia thanked the collaboration of Artisans Confectioners Association and the City Council and the solidarity of all totaneros and visitors who have made a donation at this time of crisis, and that this initiative will contribute actively to research on cancer disease that affects so many families.
