Voluntary Service and International Relations, which provides the Department of Civic Participation in collaboration with the Collective "The Candle", has started to deliver the workshops to raise awareness of volunteerism in secondary schools in the municipality for a total of 800 young people.
This service is one of the main axes in awareness-raising actions, based on which plan and develop these workshops.
These sessions, which began on Oct. 15 and runs through November 30, have been carried out in secondary schools.
So far have been 13 workshops with 400 young people but will total more than thirty sessions with 800 youth participants.
During the workshops, participating students can enjoy the performance of various dynamic group which works on the concept of volunteerism, the importance of an attitude of solidarity and cooperation from the young, the types of voluntary associations entities for volunteers and develop their activities through collaboration, etc.
In addition and as a strength in each of the sessions, there will be actual testimony active volunteers who offer their collaboration to various associations of Totana.
