The rehabilitation works Mall Avenida de la Rambla de La Santa forced to relocate weekly market stalls (20/10/2009)

The rehabilitation works of Alameda Avenue de la Rambla de La Santa, who have begun this week, forcing relocation of the weekly market positions in adjacent streets from next Wednesday 21 October.

These works contained in the Plan of works by the Local Investment Fund have been allocated a budget of 774,059 euros '46, with a lead time of 3 months.

The works will include the demolition of the sidewalk, replacement of trees and the currently existing public lighting and the construction of a new sidewalk with paving stones with a special design for the mall, will be planted palm trees, hibiscus and brachichiton to replace the existing trees and placed new streetlights.

Moreover, a total of 35 posts for the sale of clothing, footwear and the like which are installed from the bridge of the Friars (cross Calvo Sotelo) to Cross Bridge of Gardeners, will be relocated, from same day, in the streets Father Angel Novel and Santa Barbara (to the junction with Cross Street to the Gardeners).

This new location will take place throughout the period in which lasting improvement works on Avenida Rambla de la Santa on the right and left.
