The tournament I Paddle "Fiestas de Santiago" organized by the Department of Sports, held last weekend in the two newly constructed paddle at the Ciudad Deportiva "Espuña" of Totana, attended by a total of 17 pairs, and with the assistance of a packed audience of friends, family and fans of this sport.
The tournament, which was seventeen couples, some of them from the neighboring towns of Alhama and booklets, had a system of competition which consisted of knockout every game being played best of three sets.
The competition began at 17:30 am on Saturday July 11 with the running of a prior qualifying stay so that sixteen pairs (second round) and ended just after twelve o'clock.
The trophy presentation was made by the Councillor for Sports, José Antonio Valverde Queen.
The final standings and their awards were:
Champions: Francisco Abellaneda and José Alberto Zapata (trophy and 200 euros)
Runners-up: Martin Sanchez and David Perez (trophy and 150 euros)
Third: Francisco García Bonilla and Paul Costa (trophy and 100 euros)
Rooms: Pedro Garcia Belmonte and Pierre Pelegrin (trophy and 100 euros)
