Totana City Council has opened a period from 15 June to 30 June 2009 for people with disabilities aged between 16 and 60 requesting access to the Occupational Center "José Moya" for the next course from September 2009 - July 2010.
Persons with disabilities who meet the requirements and requesting access will be incorporated, after a summer break, the program of occupational and educational intervention that takes place in the center.
Among the educational activities are those of an occupational such as carpentry and pottery as well as other social and educational in nature, (introduction to computer science, social skills, daily living skills, basic instrumental skills etc.), Physical activity and sport as well as programs to promote personal autonomy and independence.
The councilman of Social Welfare, Juan Carrion, has expressed interest in serving all people with disabilities in the municipality, upon request, "as it has always done during his eight years of operation."
For this purpose, as announced, will strengthen the center's staff with the addition of a new assistant.
