A total of 118 people have been trained through the project "Labor, a step towards the employability", which develops in the municipality, the Collective for Social Promotion "The Candle" for the past 17 months, in collaboration with the Department of Social Welfare and Development and Employment.

This morning, the Mayor of Totana, José Martínez Andreo, along with the councilman of Social Welfare, Juan Carrion, Councilwoman Development and Employment, Trini Cayuela, general director of Pensions, Assessment and Inclusion Programs Murciano Institute of Social Action (IMAS), Juan Castillo, and the coordinator of "The Candle", Pedro Esparza, have presented the diplomas from the previous courses developed.

Thus, policy makers have given diplomas to 25 students who have completed training courses in business and technical workshop on job search.

As has been explained to the members of "The Candle" during the showing of a video, the project funded by the Instituto Murciano Social Action (IMAS), focuses on the group of populations at high risk and social situation exclusion.

These activities seek to identify barriers to the labor market, acquiring skills for job search.

The Director General of Pensions and Assessment, John Brown, explained that the intervention is carried out in the town of Totana focusing on the neighborhoods of San José, El Parral and Tyrol Camilleri and focuses on the unemployed with special difficulties in the workplace.

Castaño has indicated that the Community project has invested more than 83,000 euros for the financing of all courses.

For his part, Mayor of Totana, José Martínez Andreo, thanked the cooperation of companies in Totana who have worked on the project by helping students acquire the knowledge necessary to develop different activities.

He has also stressed the importance of each of the estates that make the project work is developed in Totana, from "The Candle", the departments of Welfare and Employment, the regional government and local entrepreneurs.

During the ceremony, "The Candle" has delivered a recognition of the work performed in the project "Mark Barber", "Azor Restoration," "Messengers of Peace", "Souk", the IMAS, the Welfare Councillors and Employment and the City of Totana.
