International Half Marathon "City of Torrevieja" (23/02/2009)

Successful participation of athletes from the Athletic Club in Totana, JC Pallets International Half Marathon "City of Torrevieja", which took place on Sunday 22 and in which the club athlete Lisa Woods rose to the top of the podium as the first in its category.

At 10 am, turned out to more than 1500 athletes who participated in the 26 edition of that half-marathon and where they took part, representing the club, Lisa, Eusebio Martinez, Jose Saez and Ramon Segura, the latter full preparation for the marathon of Madrid, to be held in April.

The course consisted of two laps of a circuit, for the most part, ran parallel to the sea and, it seems, by measurement error, was more than half a mile more.

Regarding time, Eusebio Martinez finished the test with a time of 1:38:30, Lisa Woods crossed the finish line in 1:41:46 as the first female category promises, Ramon Segura finished the race with a time of 1 : 42:57 and José Sáez who completed the test in 2:02:46.

So continues the great activity of competitions totanero Club athletes this season, which continues next weekend where, on one hand, a large group of athletes will take part in the first marathon of the season, the Marathon Barcelona, which will travel next Friday, the group integrated a total of fifteen people, including riders and passengers.

Furthermore, within the program of activities this year is developing the Club, on Saturday February 28 will begin a course of athletic tutoring will have two levels, a level 1 for anyone who wants to start practicing continuous running without base any, and level 2 for anyone wanting to finish a half marathon.

The courses will last three months and are taught by instructors of the Club.

The schedule will be on Mondays and Wednesdays from 19h to 20:30 and Saturdays from 17h to 19h and held at the Municipal Sports Center "on December 6."
