The Platform against the route of the AVE in Totana met last night the School Board Olympic quarter-Pears, Triptolemos, season with those affected and the locals to inform them of the proposed route of the AVE offers Ministry of Development and collect the maximum possible support and arguments to stop this project as it stands, brings more harm than good.
The more than 70 locals, who gathered at last night, moved their concerns about the current route, as one of the main concerns of these is the burial of the roads passing through the town.
The AVE project abuts the houses of the district and in the case in which not bury, may cause serious communication problems.
Stakeholders were informed of the characteristics of the route raised ADIF, that is necessary to find an alternative to try to stop this path that will harm both the interests of the residents of Totana.
From the platform we reiterate that the new path parallel to the existing railway line is clearly damaging the future Intermodal Station project that plans to build in Totana.
To which also is short, the constriction of urban growth and economic development of districts and Halts Saladar industrial estate.
We again call on neighbors to encourage them to join the Platform and report that tonight we will meet with the residents of the hamlet of La Costera from eight o'clock in the afternoon.
We remind all affected residents may submit written argument and manifestos of support and commitment to the platform at the counter of City Hall by Tuesday, January 20, 2009.
