The Department of Women and Equal Opportunities of the City of Totana, framed within the activities in the area of Domestic Violence of the Second Plan for Equal Opportunities has called the "II Poster Competition Against Gender Violence Totana 2008" .

This contest, by which seeks to encourage young people a culture of prevention in relation to gender violence, is one of the activities to commemorate the International Day for Violence against Women, to be held on 25 November.

Participation in this competition individually or in groups the young people of 12-18 years of age, presenting new works and not rewarded in any other contest until the 12th November.

The theme of the poster, which must be related to the commemoration of International Day Against Violence Against Women, must contain a message that is positive and fosters the rights of women, as reported by the mayor in charge of the municipal area, Maria Josefa Sanchez Mendez.

The poster should appear "November 25: International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women" and the theme chosen by each contestant, who will seek to motivate the whole society to develop behaviors that aim to eliminate gender violence.

The technique and design of the poster will be free and each participant may submit up to two posters, which will be submitted unsigned and author's name, but with a title or slogan on the back.

The work must be submitted in a sealed envelope, to the outside shall contain "II Poster Competition Against Gender Violence 2008 of Totana" and "slogan or title" to be stated.

In this envelope is also introduced another sealed envelope which shall bear on its outside the "theme or title" and inside detailing the data of an author's name, address, phone, e-mail, age, name the school, along with a photocopy of the DNI.

The works will be presented at the Department of Women, located in Pilar Street, 1 - 3 ª pta, or the Cultural Center Jail for the attention of the Department of Women and Equal Opportunities.

The first prize is worth € 200, the second with 150 € and 100 € a second prize for the best slogan whose message intended to motivate the whole society to develop behaviors that aim to eliminate gender violence.
