Last weekend (13 and September 14, 2008), Health Volunteer program and relief of the local assembly of the Spanish Red Cross in Totana, attended the "First National Congress before" to hospital emergency technicians, held in Ávila.
(Before the National Association of Health Emergency Technicians).
The aim of the conference was to raise awareness of the current developments in health emergencies, with presentations by various professionals, both in training of health interest in informing the development of new professional technician emergencies.
In activities that develop in the congress of local volunteers participated in the meeting the following workshops:
• Canine Rescue.
Witness the way in which these pets help us to find work to rescue victims.
Witness in this specialty rescue training guides and search dogs.
• Rescue in height.
Workshop where we can see the skills and strategies for proper management of materials and special equipment.
• Technical fire.
Workshop to learn the basic maneuvers to secure the fire situation.
• Workshop 4 x 4.
Workshop to learn the correct maneuvers in rough terrain driving of such vehicles.
Important in establishing a good time of arrival in the security of the entire crew.
• Ambulance Gymkana.
In this workshop you can see your operation at several stations performing several tasks common in-hospital health emergency.
• QCPR.
Monitor to assess the quality of CPR performed on a patient, you know, at that time may be the last thing we can do for that patient, you think you can compete for it, go ahead and take the cash prize.
• Workshop DEA.Cursillo update in the latter stage of manipulation of current basic CPR, taught by accredited trainers, supported by before and the Hon.
Ayuntamiento de Ávila.
Also held a contest for Quality in cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), in which volunteers Totaneros quedaronen 3 rd position.
