The Plan of Special Public Safety conducted to increase surveillance at the grape plantations in the municipality launched this summer has been a success, according to the mayor of Safety, Roque Molina.
The departments of Agriculture and Public Safety, earlier this summer, established a special monitoring surveillance campaign coinciding with the grape harvest.

Molina said that during these months there has been no major theft in the field and thanks to the work done by the staff has been able to cope with the usual seasonal surge in the town tends to whip in the agricultural and livestock the outskirts of the town of Totana.
For his part, Councillor Agriculture, John Pagan, said that the effort that all the troops have done over these months has shown that preventive measures in these cases, are very effective.
During the two months they have increased inspections of vehicles outside city boundaries, especially in accessible areas of the districts of the municipality and areas such as the Diversion, the highway, the Camino de Hundal, fennel and Camino Real.
The councilman said he will continue making the controls throughout the winter in the garden areas of the municipality.
