The Regional Employment Service and Training has awarded three grants to the Department of Education for the total amount of 87,657, 75 euros for the implementation of three projects aiming at the reduction of truancy in the county, to be carried out the month of October with a duration of nine months.
These projects are "Education for prevention and control of school absenteeism," "Project Socio and study aid aimed at primary and secondary students" and "guidance and counseling service for families with children of school age and intergenerational mediation" .
This subsidy is framed in Schedule 2, sub-2.1 "temporary recruitment of unemployed workers by local corporations," the notice required by 2008.
The Councillor for Education, Roque Molina Legaz, expressed his satisfaction and gratitude to the Regional Employment Service and Training for their awareness of educational issues related to the problem of truancy.
Through the grant would cover the cost for the staff employed, this being an / a degree / diploma here are two / as to carry out three projects with a duration of nine months each.
Asimsimo, Legaz Molina noted that the start of the three projects is planned for early October, and that is, simultaneously, an opportunity for three people from getting a job, getting work experience while developing actions aimed at the prevention of truancy.
