The Mayor of Totana, José Martínez Andreo, and Council Member of Planning and Sustainable Development, María José Bedia, have awards for the competition for the remodeling of the Plaza de la Balsa Vieja, convened by the City, which First prize was awarded in the "Sun and Shadow" team led by architect Enrique Mínguez Martínez.
The contest of ideas, explained the mayor, was considered as "the most objective procedure to address the solutions needed to be done to proceed with the redevelopment of the site, solutions demanded by the neighbors to resolve Totana functional and aesthetic needs.
For this purpose 16 papers were presented with different and varied ideas to carry out the drafting of a suitable project to local needs as emblematic as the Plaza de la Balsa Vieja, located in a strategic location in the municipality.
Based on the foundations of agree, the jury has failed, taking into account criteria of aesthetics, functionality, suitability to the environment and budget.
The mayor explained that the creation of the jury opted for objectivity, and it was composed of technicians from the Directorate General of Housing, the College of Architects of Murcia and the municipal architect, among others, and thanked the participation of teams and the winning contestants of the same.

Award Winners

Remodeling Project
