Two students of the Vocational Centre "José Moya, Carmen Canovas Robles and Pedro participated last weekend in Spain Athletics Championships by self-selection for people with intellectual disabilities organized by FEddi, held in the city of Granada.
Mari Carmen Robles, who is regional champion at 100 and 200 meter dash, and Pedro Cánovas, regional champion in the discus and javelin competitions were selected by the selection Murcia athletics for people with intellectual disabilities to come to this tournament.
Mari Carmen Robles was involved in the 100 meter dash and shot put competition.
In the first of them managed to reach the goal with the fourth fastest time of all series and performed this test with a small sprained left ankle, which prevented him to perform 100% of its possibilities.
In the second test in which he participated, he won the fourth place with a throw of 5'85 meters.
On the other hand, Pedro Cánovas participated in the discus throw competitions, weight and javelin.
In the first of which took second place with a throw of 19'85 meters improving his previous personal best by two feet.
In shot put, won the fourth place with a throw of 7'25 meters.
Finally, in the javelin competition won the 11 th position with a throw of 17'48 feet.
By participating in this championship, ending the competition for students in the Occupational Center this season.
