The parish of Santiago El Mayor hosted last night, day of Ash Wednesday, the official presentation of the Nazarene of Honor totanera Easter this year, José María Hernández Lario, who received from the Illustrious Cabildo Processions Superior granting awards that title.
The magazine and poster Totana Easter 2016, illustrating a composition of the Murcian artist "Cortés Abellán" with the images of the Brotherhood of Veronica was presented.
Municipal authorities in all local groups attended this ceremony in the parish with which officially started the program of activities of the Holy Week Totana.
It was attended by the mayor, Juan José Canovas, the first deputy mayor, Andrés García, and many members of the Municipal Corporation of Totana.
Also they gathered the pastors of both churches, José Ruiz Garcia and Antonio Cañizares, President of the Illustrious Cabildo Processions Superior, Bechí Antonio Martinez, President of the Brotherhood of Veronica, José Ramón Peñalver, and members of all the guilds and guilds Totana.
At the end of the event, at the gates of the temple, the band of bugles and drums of the Brotherhood of Veronica performed several pieces to terminate this event organized every year by the Illustrious Cabildo Processions Superior.
