The mayors of Totana, Juan José Canovas, and Aledo, Juan José Andreo, met for the first time in this legislature to address issues of general interest affecting both municipalities, as the supply problem exists in the La Santa where is the sanctuary and several lodgings.
The meeting took place in the Mayor of Totana and this is the first to be held in this term since both took office as aldermen, both for the first time.
In addition, they discussed other issues of concern such as the layout and condition of the power line passing through Aledo and Totana, and it affects many areas of cultivation and production of both town and at the same archaeological site of "La Bastida".
Also they addressed other issues some details about the upcoming extraordinary pilgrimage to the patron saint of Totana will celebrate the next day 13 the neighboring municipality of Aledo, in collaboration with the Santa Foundation and the parish church of Santa María la Real de Aledo;
or poor condition with the RM-503 road between Aledo and Bullas, passing by the totanera council of La Sierra and the place of the farmhouses in the regional park of Sierra Espuña.
The two mayors had agreed on other institutional meetings in the first months of the legislature, as the constitution of the new city of the Commonwealth of Espuña Tourism Services (now chaired by the mayor of Aledo), but had not had the opportunity converse on common issues.
Traditionally and historically, institutional relations between the two councils are closely and very cordial;
