A total of 37 people took part in the first meeting point that has been carried out under the project Therapy Friendship, sponsored by the Association for Rare Diseases D'Genes, in collaboration with the Association for Integration of Persons with Intellectual Disability INTEGRA Totana and the City of the municipality.
This first point of meeting, which took place last May 30 in Totana, has been a success because 37 people have participated beneficiaries thereof, of which eight have some rare disease, disability four, three people are undiagnosed and you have some kind of developmental disorder.
The remaining 21 were volunteers.
These meeting points are structured in groups based on the age of the participants.
Thus, in the children's group laughter and fun they were the main element for the friendship networks are established.
Various recreational activities in which the participants were only players who enjoyed dynamics, games and crafts were made.
In the group of young participants shared hobbies, dreams, things they liked and disliked, which allowed the gathering of common points that became the group dynamics in fun and spontaneous.
Complicity also surfaced while playing bowling in Hotel Executive of the town.
Finally for this group of adults meeting point has been a first contact has been very enriching, and in which one of the surprises was a beneficiary of the project brought a delicious cake.
This first experience has been very positive because since all the beneficiaries were delighted with the illusion of having another meeting point, one of the activities in Friendship Therapy, innovative project that aims to create a network of friendship between people affected by a rare disease, disability, developmental disorders, undiagnosed people and volunteers.
