The users of the Day Centre for Persons with Mental Illness of Totana Town Council have enjoyed a very varied program with special activities aimed at important areas such as work, autonomy, integration and healthy use of leisure and free time.
In April they performed three special activities;
on the one hand, a scheduled to Juan Instituto de la Cierva visit, where they were received by its director Juan Manuel Martinez and other school professionals, who explained some activities being undertaken with students and attended by special guests to trial and musicalizada premiere of the play "Snow White".
It has also conducted a guided tour of the exhibition on "Jail", "Conquering the prison walls", where they learned important stories of the history of this landmark building in Totana;
a workshop on "Crafts in reusable glass", where they worked the imagination and the art of recycling.
Furthermore, users have also enjoyed a tour of the gardens with the association "Canico", which enjoyed walking through typical places of the Huerta de Totana;
Special activities at the Center: Zumba workshop and workshops autonomy "Learning to use a ticket machine Train", "healthy food preparation" and "Activities of daily living".
It is also important to note other initiatives from the center as the launch of a Bloc Poetry, where the user of the center, Antonio Lorca can realize his dream of making known his poems;
and performing a special lecture on "Emotional Intelligence and personal development" given to the students of Instituto Juan de la Cierva, with a significant content of emotional control and interpersonal relationships.
