The departments of Social Care and Health of the City of Totana have requested the submission of projects to financially support initiatives that develop socio entities solidarity actions with the neediest and most vulnerable sectors of the population in this county.

To do this, have forwarded a communication to all associations Totana that are working historically and exclusively in the field of social and health action in order to make them aware of this offer, the total amount to distribute amounts to about 50,000 euros.

Associations and groups that have been working with these sectors of the population must submit their projects by check through the Citizen Service before the end of September, completing the cards they have received by mail and presenting this information in the Consistory.

These groups play a vital and central role in the provision of social and health services to the citizens who own supplementary to that provided by the City Council or other government directly.

This has a special value in the difficult economic and current unemployment situation means that there are many individuals and families at risk of social exclusion in Totana, given their special difficulties in responding to the coverage of basic needs or adequately integrated into our community.

This applies especially to sectors of the population such as children and the elderly, the sick, dependent, disabilities, ethnic minorities, immigrants, long-term unemployed, among others.
