The Municipal People presents a motion in Parliament March for the maintenance of vital records as a free public service (10/03/2014)

The Municipal People will file a motion with the March plenary session which will require the Ministry of Justice maintaining vital records free public service personnel served by the Administration of Justice, or in his absence by staff councils.

The Registry is a public service, public management, provided by officials of Justice and, in some cases, staff of the municipalities where no endowment Justice officials in the Magistrates Court.

This service has been exemplary since its creation in 1870 in the field of fluid necessary to ensure legal and economic traffic I integrate and benefit of all citizens preventive legal security.

Many councils make great efforts assuming that competition despite the meager amount allocated to them by the Ministry.

At present, given the increase in population and the advancement of technologies, these quantities are not viable.

In fact, in many European countries such as France, the Registry is the sole responsibility of the municipalities to be the closest to the city administration.

The Ministry, instead of encouraging these efforts by local councils for so long, and now provide them such technological means, commitment to give to other professionals privatizing the service, enabling an economic benefit to the detriment of the citizen.

The Registry is intended for people, and for this reason, since 1870 has been established as a nearby public service to citizens through the city fabric of our country.

Based on this support, citizens have avoided damages to move several miles beyond where was the seat of the Civil Registry for the simplest steps, as faiths of life for pension payments, registrations and certificates of birth, marriage and death , etc. ..
