Youth Correspondents IES "Prado Mayor" and "Juan de la Cierva" participate in a meeting (29/01/2014)

Juveniles correspondents IES "Prado Mayor" and "Juan de la Cierva" alongside 15 other young correspondents municipalities in the region, began last weekend developing a work schedule in non-formal education which will promote ciberviolencia eradication of gender in social networks and Internet.

This project aims to end the Red and Information Technology and Communication (ICT) are virtual spaces reproduction of gender inequality and sexism, according to sources of the Youth Council of Totana.

Youth Correspondents program this school year of Information Technology and Communication and personal relationships is concerned and starts a youth campaign to eradicate gender ciberviolencia in social networks and Internet.

Thus, young people who have participated on Saturday and Sunday at the hostel "El Valle" in the 'Meeting of egalitarian relationships between adolescents' cyberbullying analyzed as a form of exercising violence on youth and Figure youth correspondent as a catalyst in the institutes and channeling the demands of this group.

The purpose of this initiative is to develop and implement an information and prevention campaign about the new forms of violence and control over existing youth on the Internet where combines elements of romantic ideals of love and exposure of personal life.

At the meeting were able to examine the relationships between young people through new technologies, awareness of the need to establish relationships from good treatment, while it has set the need to understand the virtual language that young people use, the experiences that play on the networks, and use these same networks to accompany them and educate them.

The children have enjoyed the participation of psychologist Ianire Estébanez, author of the popular blog "My boyfriend controls me."

Have also been imparted knowledge and skills to identify romantic relationships of inequality that may, in the future, to accommodate gender violence.

The proposed Equal Relations involving 15 municipalities, through their respective youth information services coordinators Regional Centre of Youth Information Murcia.

These municipalities are the Eagles, Abanilla, Murcia, Caravaca de la Cruz, Cieza, Los Alcazares, Librilla, San Javier, San Pedro del Pinatar, Puerto Lumbreras, Totana, Lorca, Santomera, Fuente Alamo and Abarán.
