The full City Council last night approved Totana, in ordinary initial form the general budget for the financial year 2014, amounting to EUR 28.9 million, representing a slight increase from 28.3 the year above, of which nearly 1.4 correspond to investments.
The budget was approved with votes in favor of the Popular Party and against the Socialist Group and United Left-Greens, and an increase of 2.32% over the budgeted amount in 2013.
To this the budgets of municipal corporations added: 1.7 million euros the company Promotion Industrial Land and Housing Totana (Proinvitosa) and 223,580 euros of the Special Employment Centre Totana (Cedeto), respectively.
Chapter Investment amounting to 1,325,155 euros, which highlights budget items for asphalt pavement and under the N-340 between Totana, Alhama de Murcia (180,379 euros), the replacement of a section of sidewalk on avenue Rambla de La Santa (141,686 euros), access and parking Argaric site "La Bastide" (102,000 euros).
Also collected other for the replacement of roads and rural roads (60,000 euros) and grants for public housing (10,000 euros).
Is also reflected in the expenditure of this budget two important items such as the provision for the repayment of part of the loan pertaining to Provider Payment Plan promoted by the Ministry of Finance and Public Administration, as well as subsidies associative (80,000 euros ) for the realization of new cooperation agreements and project development.
The municipal budget for 2014 envisages an increase of headings for "Employment and Training" and "Social Care", which are, according to municipal officials explained during the plenary debate, priorities for government action for this budget year.
Thus, a party of 554,000 euros for "Training and Employment", among which are those actions aimed at covering the main measures to promote youth employment (25,000 euros), in a situation of social exclusion (25,000 euros included ) and for over 45 years (25,000 euros).
Same also collect other programs such as County Councils on Employment (320,000 euros), SEF training activities (55,000 euros), Initial Vocational Training Program (40,000 euros), support for entrepreneurs and SMEs (20,000 euros) and Business Incubator (5,000 euros).
The impetus to productive sectors is quantified among others, in budgetary allocations to support activities for agriculture and livestock (30,000 euros) and the program of promoting local trade (20,000 euros).
In the field of transport include 100,000 euros aimed at maintenance of city bus, while in Social Care program actions such as home help and other social measures (74,600 euros) and the Emergency Social Aid and Income Support Compensatory collected Social Inclusion (RACI), amounting to 100,000 euros.
