Women are gaining ground hard in traditionally male activities, as in this case the practice of cycling trails.
Neither more nor less than 69 women agreed on Sunday the 10th, in Totana, during the 2nd Meeting of fond Friendly Female mountain bike (MTB).
The bikers came from different points: Eagles, Alhama, Bullas, Cartagena, Lorca, Mazarron, Murcia, Pliego, Puerto Lumbreras, Pulpí, Sangonera la Verde, La Union and of course, Totana.
The successful event, nature friendly, non-competitive, was to gather and meet all these athletes and amateurs in the region, share the love of cycling and nature and enjoy this unusual encounter.
The route passed talkative and quiet along 42 km by Espuña spread in small groups according to the level and fitness of each.
The celebrated day had its finale with a deserved meal, "in which we applaud both our champions of the region in different modalities such as women who put all their energy and enthusiasm to complete the course this day."
"We also share tips and knowledge related to the bike, and above all, we returned to our jobs very happy and eager to meet again," according to one participant tells.
Serve this encounter of inspiration to all those women who do not dare to practice mountain bike because they think they are alone.
