The departments of Public Health and Environment and City Services report that is going to proceed, during the month of June, at the completion of the work of the annual emergency plan of decontamination of the entire sewage from the town of Totana and urbanization "The Pond".
The same sources indicate that, once completed, there will be the same actions in the industrial sewer "The Salt Marsh" of Totana and El Pareton-Cantareros.
The treatment involves spraying the inside of sewer records insecticide product to reduce the population of cockroaches (Periplaneta americana), and placement of rodenticide baits for which they have engaged the services of an authorized company.
After this shock treatment, which affect the entire sewer shall be made during the month of August a new treatment concentrating on the areas in which they have reproduced the problem of the presence of cockroaches and rodents.
The Department informs the public that it is not necessary to give notice to the City of performing these jobs because they are going to undertake, as in previous years, in all areas that are susceptible to treatment.
