Totana Local Police will step up, both uniformed and plainclothes agents, surveillance on the public roads of the town in compliance with municipal ordinances and Urban Hygiene and Protection Companion Animal Ownership.
The most frequent reasons for throwing glass and other objects to the street, urinating in public, take out the trash on days and times not allowed, not pick up after pets from the street, place signage without authorization relevant by distributing pamphlets and advertising without the required permit, among others.
The penalties imposed for these offenses range up to 750 euros for those considered mild, up to 1,500 euros for serious and up to 3,000 euros for the most serious.

The Urban Hygiene ordinance states that animal owners are responsible for damage or conditions to people and things and any action that causes dirt in public and that in the absence of the owner, will be responsible for accompanying the animal at the time of action.
