A total of 35 students from different schools are served outside school hours by students of the University of Murcia
The Mayor of Totana, Isabel Maria Sanchez, and the Rector of the University of Murcia, José Antonio Cobacho, have signed a collaboration agreement for the UMU students participate in educational reinforcement project is carried out in seven schools in Totana.
This project aims at strengthening the educational processes to promote personal and social development of children, especially those who are in disadvantaged situations.
Thus, as indicated by the Mayor of Totana, will prevent and reduce problems of failure, absenteeism and early school dropout.
Thus, it performs a complementary intervention to the school, from a conception of coordination between the different social actors involved in the educational process of children and young people who should read this project.
During the signing of the agreement, which also have been different vice presidents responsible for several departments, the mayor thanked the good work of the University of Murcia to promote this project in the municipality.
The project involves seven college students living in the town of Totana, interested in this project and their teaching in schools of the college of La Cruz, San Jose, Santiago, Reina Sofia, Luis Perez Rueda, Tierno Galván and Santa Eulalia.
