Totana Local Police has joined the new season of the Traffic Department, through the Provincial Traffic Authority of Murcia, which runs until May 5 on monitoring and control of motorcycles to ensure road safety motorists' own.
Overtaking will be monitored non-regulation, ITV expiration, lack of helmet use and speeding, which are the main risk factors, as well as most of the offenses committed by motorists.
As happens in most of the campaigns undertaken by the DGT, from the Provincial Traffic Headquarters of Murcia have been invited to participate in the different municipalities in the region through their local police carry out their own checks.
To date have joined the consistory of Totana, Murcia, Yecla, Eagles, Moratalla, Sewer, San Pedro del Pinatar, Mazarrón, San Javier, Alguazas, Molina de Segura, Caravaca de la Cruz, Murcia, Lorca, Beniel, Cartagena, Mula, Torre Pacheco, Santomera, Cieza, La Union, Cotillas Towers, Jumilla, Bullas, Cehegín and Alhama de Murcia.
In the Region of Murcia there is a nearly 92,000 active park bikes, of which about 2,900 were added during the last year.
Victims of Motorcycle Accidents
Throughout 2012, in the Region of Murcia there were 122 injury accidents in which motorcycles were involved, 12 fewer than in 2011.
So far in 2013 there have been 25 accidents.
Last year there were seven people died in motorcycle traffic accident compared to 9 in 2011.
Until April 24 of this annuity the motorcycle were killed in two.
