About 40 people attended yesterday the Conference on the Use of Plant Protection Products in agricultural and green areas, organized by the Department of Agriculture and Water, to report the new legislation on the use of plant protection products, which was held in the Hall of City Hall.
The Councillor for Agriculture, Diego Muñoz, said the new law encourages the use of non-chemical, systems implementing integrated pest management (IPM), the control of applications and foster public information procedures.
During the conversation were revealed important aspects of the new legislation on the sustainable use of pesticides in agricultural areas, gardens, industrial areas, and was taught by the College of Agricultural Engineers of the Region of Murcia, José Manuel Garcia Moreno.
It was also reported on new lines of work of farmers from the hand of Chief Plant Protection Service of the Ministry of Agriculture and Water of the Autonomous Community of the Region of Murcia, Francisco José González.
