The city of Totana becomes the 2nd of the Region to pass the motion unanimously on corporate hospitality to immigrants (27/04/2013)

A few months ago eighteen organizations around the country have united to denounce the proposal to amend the Criminal Code can pursue claims that criminal so humanitarian aid and solidarity to people in an irregular situation.

Among the actions taken within the campaign "Save the hospitality" is the submission of motions in local councils and regional parliaments to urge the government of the nation to which the crime against the rights of foreign citizens you referred to in this reform, punish exclusively related behaviors of people smuggling, expressly excluding the same actions motivated by humanitarian reasons and supportive.

On April 25, the City Council unanimously approved Totana of all local groups this motion that undoubtedly contribute to deepen the integration and coexistence of all citizens living in this city.

This motion has been promoted jointly by Living Welcomes Murcia and without racism.

Totana is a municipality in our region that has received quite some time immigrant population.

We would like to remind that solidarity demonstrations around the year 2000 were there to halt the expulsion of a fellow Ecuadorians.
