Totana City Council has granted a total of 69 grants in 2012 for the programs Social Emergency (PAES), Income Support Compensatory Social Inclusion (RACI) and Training for Social Inclusion-Assistance Grants (Forin) , amounting in total to EUR 25,713 in total.
The Mayor of Totana, Isabel Maria Sanchez, reported that for the programs to help the needy were paid last week to respond to a commitment to enter them during the year.
Thus, in 2012, 33 grants have been paid totaling 11,481 euros SEAP, RACI 6 amounting to 2,556 euros and 30 Forin beneficiaries whose total cost amounts to EUR 11 677 Total.
In addition, in 2010 was granted a total of 265 grants of PAES by totaling 86,643 euros (there were no other programs), while in 2011 new programs were enabled with the crisis surrendering 150 of PAES for concept of 49,021 euros and 194 Forin with a value of 84,584 euros.
What are they?
The Emergency Assistance program is aimed at families Social affected by the situation of "new poverty" caused by the current economic crisis, and aims to support families whose economic situation has deteriorated significantly due to job loss of one or more members of the family unit, to enable them to meet monthly fixed expenses related to food, housing, education or health.
The RACI is a measure of social protection that aims to balance, enhance, strengthen and enhance financial support to individuals and groups who are struggling to meet their basic needs and are not entitled to any benefits.
The Forin is a program that aims to improve performance and overcome purely economic assistance and, allowing for the production of knowledge, skills and abilities useful and necessary to promote social integration and employment, and to encourage self esteem and social participants.
