The Mayor of Totana and president of the Spanish Association of Towns of Ceramics, Isabel Maria Sanchez, has delivered to the mayor of Lorca, Francisco Jodar, the recognition of the neighboring town as a guest on the national association.
In a ceremony, which also featured the mayor of La Rambla (Córdoba) and Councilman Lorca Craft, Eduardo Sanchez, the president explained that the association, which comprise more than thirty cities in Spain, has Lorca integrated in a special way this organization because of their circumstances after the earthquake occurred over a year ago.
The mayor has indicated that the assembly of the AECC ratified the agreement in May this year and assumed from now the city of Lorca will enjoy participating in the network of cities through pottery which made global projects promotion of tourism through the ceramic.
In this regard, Sanchez Ruiz has advanced to the mayor of Lorca any of the projects that are going to be feasible this year as the National Awards of Ceramics, to be held at the Ministry of Economy this year, Congress monograph that held at La Rambla (Córdoba) or promotion to be done in ceramics at the national level and the presentation of a tourism project in the month of September to the Secretary of State for Tourism.
Also, the mayors of Lorca, La Rambla and Totana have received a group of potters in Spain that have stayed in Totana and who are visiting the region during these days.
