Totana consumers receive guidance on how to save water at home (14/03/2012)

Totana consumers have today received advice on saving water at home through the Mobile Information Point installed on the avenue of the Rambla de La Santa on the occasion of the commemoration of "World Consumer Day", to be held tomorrow March 15.

Through a specific campaign "Drop by drop, water savings" have given residents a device (perlizador or aerator) to install taps in getting the same feeling of flow, but with savings up to 50 percent.

During the morning hours has attended a personalized consultation, complaints and allegations that have made consumers and users of the town.

Have also been reminded of the rights that consumers have recognized such as health or safety, economic interests, damages, compensation for damages suffered, information about goods and services etc.

Awareness campaign in schools

The Department of Consumer Affairs, as explained by the mayor of that municipal area, Eulalia Sandoval, has conducted educational talks in schools and institutes related to the rational use of drinking water.

With this initiative, students have known what mechanisms to conserve water, the benefits that occur with these savings, and environmental awareness and sustainability.
