Totana morning host the second edition of the National Awards Cerámica'2011 (02/12/2011)

Totana hosts tomorrow, December 3, the second edition of the National Awards at a dinner gala Cerámica'2011 in which municipalities will meet with pottery and ceramics tradition of more than ten autonomous communities that make up the Association of Spanish Cities Ceramics (AECC), among which it is the city of Murcia.

During the event, which will take place from 20:30 hours at the Hotel Monasterio Santa Eulalia, it will present the national awards in the categories of professional experience in ceramic production, activity or initiative for ceramics , to the dissemination and communication activities for ceramics, and technical or scientific contribution.

The Mayor of Totana and current president of the Spanish Association of Cities of Ceramics (AECC), Isabel Maria Sanchez Ruiz, explained that it is an honor for the town and thus, for the Region of Murcia, Totana become a national benchmark in the field of crafts and more specifically in the professional discipline of ceramics.

These awards, which concur eleven finalists from different parts of Spain to participate in the act is performed from the Association in order to recognize those individuals, institutions, companies or groups that have stood out for his work on behalf of the ceramic Spanish in the different modalities laid down.

Specifically, attend the event for mayors and councilors of the municipalities in Agost (Alicante), Argentona (Barcelona); lawns Tormes (Salamanca), La Rambla (Córdoba), La Galera (Tarragona); Manises (Valencia); Marratxí (Balearic ), Mota del Cuervo (Cuenca), Priego (Cuenca), Quart (Girona), Talavera de la Reina (Toledo) and the Association Cadub The (La Galera, Tarragona), the Museum of the Song of Argentona (Barcelona); Vettonia Foundation and Talavera de la Reina (Toledo).

In addition, the finalists are:

- Museum of Terris Quart (Girona), in the categories of activity or initiative for the ceramic and the dissemination and communication activities.

- Special Employment Center Virginia Decorators and D.

Virginia Gutierrez, career patterns, activity or initiative for ceramics.

- Ceramic-Valencia Association Guild Avec, in the form of activity or initiative for ceramics.

- Pottery and Ceramics Exhibition of La Rambla, in the dissemination and communication activities.

- Journal Uniceram, in the form of outreach and communication activities

- Consortium of Commerce, Fashion, Crafts Artesania i Catalunya, in the form of technical or scientific contribution.

- Emili Sempere Ferrandiz, in the form of technical or scientific contribution.

Also, the AECC held in the morning in the plenary hall Hall Executive Committee and General Assembly, which will be discussed, among other things, activities and projects to promote and disseminate this profession at European level in the This organization has been working.

The event was attended by the Minister of Universities, Business and Research, José Ballesta, and the Director General Crafts, Mary Dolores Alarcon, respectively.
