Totana host 17 to October 21 the I Interpolicial Canine Guide Murcia Region to be held in the offices of the Local Police Headquarters, whose exhibits will take place at the municipal stadium "Juan Cayuela," according to sources Department of Public Safety.
The event is organized by the Police Canine Unit Local de Totana, whose members are delegated members in the Region of the Spanish Association of Local Police dog handlers and is funded entirely through the sponsorship of 45 companies in this town.
It is headed by the local police out of Totana, José Antonio Valera Morell.
The meeting includes a training course held for drug-sniffing dogs to take place during the five day program, and which include a total of 26 officers assigned to police canine units Gijón, Alicante, Burgos, Móstoles, Ceuta , Toledo, Villanueva del Fresno (Badajoz), Las Rozas, Orgaz (Toledo), Alcorcón, Rivas-Vaciamadrid, Villarreal and Totana.
The program ends on 21 with the holding of an exhibition held at the service dogs of the various local police officers in the municipal soccer field in Totana, which will be attended by schoolchildren from 5 and 6 of primary school and 1 ESO ° different schools in this municipality,
During this phase, Drills for drugs and explosives detection, obedience, obstacles and defense, among others.
The exhibition, which will be open to the general public, will begin at 10:00 hours and it is intended to bring schoolchildren to the daily work of this body and disseminate the work of these police units in their fight against trafficking drugs.
The Police Canine Unit Local de Totana (K-9) currently has two dogs: one in training, and other commonly found serving in that unit, Braco Weimaraner breed, and name Bao Dai.
