Big brands and several podiums for Totana Athletics Club (06/09/2011)

So the last tests where athletes have been present in the yellow tide has been racing as the Evening of Mazarrón and Librilla, rising to the Virgen de La Peña and the Source of the Toad.

To begin on Saturday 13 CAT athletes were in two tests.

On one side is later held in the district of Canara ceheginera the first ascent to the Sanctuary of the Virgen de la Peña, 7200 meters Test drive that ran a continuous loop up and down through the Vega del Río Argos, ending with the last 250 meters on a steep climb steeper than 20% slope reaching to the Finish in the chapel of the Virgen de la Peña.

The test began just after 19h, with a strong heat and which represented the Club mates Pepe Saez and Ballester Pepe Nacho Martínez Campos, having great times.

So the first across the finish line was Nacho, who stopped the clock in 31:25, ranking sixth overall.

Finished in 35:20 and 38:50 Pepe Pepe Martínez Sáez.

That same afternoon there was the XVIII edition of Race Night "All drugs" held in Puerto de Mazarrón, taking as a starting point and goal of Erosions Bolnuevo.

On a circuit between the clays and beach Bolnuevo, ascent and descent to the bay of Punta Vela, held absolute proof about eight miles away, with a great performance of athletes of CAT Totana.

Thus, the first athlete across the finish Club was Edward Lucas Vera, which ranked ninth overall with a time of 25:09.

Eusebio Martinez Mengual followed that with a time of 25:37 finished in 13th place overall.

In Luke 25:56 came Francisco Javier Vera.

Pedro Manuel Antonio Redondo finished in 27:59, up to the podium to be third in the Veteran category B.

Antonio Vera Lucas stopped the clock in 28:40 while Juanfran Martínez Moreno did it in 30:50 and our reporter Fran Norths finished in 33:38, returning to arenas after his injury.

On Monday night August 15 saw the fourth edition of the Fun Run "Villa Librilla."

At 21:20 h, very hot and on a city tour of 7500 meters, turned out to nearly 350 athletes taking part in the race complete.

In the town of Murcia moved a good representation of CAT Totana, getting, as usual this summer, big brands.

The first across the finish totanero was Edu Luke, who stopped the clock in a great time of 29:03, ranking number 31 overall.

He followed his brother Francisco Javier Lucas, demonstrating the high profile it takes, is ranked 38 overall with a time of 29:30.

Eusebio Martinez arrived soon after, in a time of 29:55.

In 32 minutes he crossed the goal Pedro Redondo.

Antonio Lucas finished the race in 32:29 and 33:07 Juan Jose Robles.

José Sáez stopped the clock at 37:44 and 38:02 Pedro Alfredo Martinez.

Finally, on Saturday September 4 it was the turn to a classic, the XVIII Rise to Power of the Toad in the hamlet of El Algar Carthaginian.

The test ran a 8.2 mile loop drive away, with steep ramps for much of the route, partly asphalt and partly by land.

Just before the start of the race came a downpour, which made it a little easier the heat made this afternoon.

As is happening throughout the summer season, the club's athletes still in totanero demonstrated a high level.

Thus the first athlete to cross the CAT Totana goal was Fulgencio Garcia, who ranked 35 overall and took the podium to finish third in the Veteran B class, stopping the clock in 32:15.

Eusebio Martinez followed with a time of 33:12.

At 35:11 came Pedro Antonio Redondo.

José Alfonso Ros finished the race in 39:45 and 41:58 North Fran.

Upcoming events where there will be presence of Totana CAT on Sunday with a new test calendar Cup Mountain Regional Races, taking place in the Regional Park of El Valle.
