Tourism Strategic Plan Totana (23/03/2011)

The City Council of Totana, through the Department of Tourism, has designed a Strategic Plan for Tourism through which to exploit the potential of the municipality in order to revitalize the productive sectors associated with the industry by achieving differentiation quality of supply to the tourist world.

This plan has been submitted by the Mayor of Totana, José Martínez Andreo, and the Councillor for Tourism, Maria Isabel Sánchez Ruíz, people who have worked actively in the development of it as craft and cultural associations, traders, hoteliers, travel agencies, among others.

Martínez Andreo explained that this Plan develops the economic strategy for this to be the ideal opportunity through which revitalize the productive sectors of the municipality in order to revive the local economy.

Using these formulas, as advancing the mayor, there is a giant step to specialize the municipality's tourism offering quality and differentiation in search of an orderly growth of supply and demand with sustainable tourism.

In this regard, he indicated that through this document will be prioritized in archaeological tourism, hunting and active and will develop policies to invest in cultural tourism, getaways and cuisine.
