The Department of Education of the City of Totana and the Ministry of Education, Training and Employment of the Region of Murcia, continuing the work done four years ago, is developing activities on prevention of truancy, through the Hall Occupational Educational compensation.
The Councillor for Education, Trini Cayuela, said that this program, which began on October 18, is an organizational measure education promotion special that takes place in the stage of compulsory secondary education, and has a duration of one school year .
Its aim is to provide students knowledge prelaborares, notably by facilitating its continuation in Initial Vocational Training Program.
During this course, participate in the Hall a total of eleven students from various Secondary Education Centers Totana.
Also, the council has reported that students receive training from a professional team composed of two teachers and a technical teacher, hired by the Ministry of Education, a physical education teacher at IES Prado Mayor, the technical school absenteeism on the topic of social skills and coordination of the Programme by the Department of Education, and monitoring of students and their families held in conjunction with the Guidance Department of the IES.
On the other hand, many students take up activities such as: an audiovisual workshop on waste and recycling conducted by the Department of Environment, computer science, prevention of absenteeism in coordination with the local police; workshops on municipal resources and the environment developed by educators Socio Integration Project of the Department of Social Welfare, and a module for risk prevention techniques taught by responsible municipal issue, among others.
