Totana Local Police held an open day for the little known about the work of the Body.
The visit, which involved about a hundred students from different schools, is one of the activities organized to coincide with the celebration of its patron, Saint Patrick, whose feast day is next week.
The Local Police have attended during the morning school groups and teachers who have requested to participate in such activity through scheduled visits that have taken place throughout the morning.
Students have known the operation of police vehicles, set out in Constitution Square, the details of the dress of the officers, drug dogs and vehicle control systems.
In addition, students have visited the offices of the Local Police Headquarters, where they could check the administrative operation of this body and the various facilities available in this building as the Museum of the local police lock-ups and costumes.
The Mayor of Totana, José Martínez Andreo, who has participated in the conference along with the school, explained that the purpose of this activity is to raise awareness through the school of Totana the means and facilities available to local police and inform the patrols there.
Also pointed out that the current government team has been concerned in a special way to expand the staffing of the police while in their possession of new police units that provide a better service for residents.
Martínez Andreo has also indicated that an effort was made by the City Council to equip its workforce with the necessary means, as reported on the new purchase of a vehicle, valued at 24,000 euros, and has been funded by the Community Autonomous.
