The mayor of Health, Trini Cayuela, and the councilman of Social Welfare, Juan Carrion, attended the main ceremony marking the World Day for Rare Diseases, held yesterday in the Senate and was chaired by Princess Letizia.
The deputies escorted the family and officials of the Association "D'Genes" Totana the event which recognized the work of Dr. Guillen research exercises in the Arrixaca.
During the ceremony, prizes were awarded Spanish Federation for Rare Diseases (ERDF), aimed at those individuals and entities that have contributed to improving the quality of life for families with rare diseases, affecting more than three million people in Spain .
In addition, also attended by Minister of Health, Social Policy and Equality, Leire Pajin, the President of the Senate, Javier Rojo, President of the Spanish Federation for Rare Diseases, Isabel Calvo.
