On Sunday 23 January, Totana Athletics Club runners took part in the XXIII edition of the International Half Marathon "Villa de Santa Pola, where they could spread the observance of World Day for Rare Diseases.
A large group of club runners participated in the XXIII edition of the Media Marathon Santa Pola supporting those affected by rare diseases and represents the first activity of the program of events of World Day for Rare Diseases, to be held on 27 February.
Totanera performance in the half marathon was very positive, achieving high marks.
Fulgencio Garcia was the first athlete to cross the finish JCP, getting an official time of 1h: 23:24.
It was followed by Eduardo Lucas, who finished the race in 1h: 25:49, lowering both athletes their best records in the half marathon distance.
The third totanero to arrive was Pedro Antonio Redondo, with a time of 1h: 26:27 and after he kept coming up almost thirty athletes Totana athletic club, one of the clubs with greater participation in the race.
The delegate of ERDF in Murcia, Juan Carrion Tudela, and the president of the Association D'Genes, Naca Eulalia Pérez de Tudela, congratulated the brokers and who have staged the first event on the occasion of World Day for Rare Diseases.
