On Sunday December 19 three athletes mountaineering section of the Athletics Club Totana, Pepe Martinez Pepe Nacho Campos Sáez, moved to the Alicante town of Calpe to take part in the Mountain Half Marathon VI "Serra d'Oltá" test through the entire mountain overlooking the town of Ifach.
At 10am, with a fairly enclosed sky and the mountains dominated by the fog came out of the test riders, more than 250 at the start line, located at the sports center of Calpe.
Spectacular tour, thanks in part to the fog overlooking the mountains and the deep mud in many areas, which made the test was the most fun, especially on downhills where the falls were almost guaranteed.
The positive test gap was nearly a thousand meters, the highest point being at the top of Oltá nearly 600 feet high.
Spectacular organizing the test, which despite the difficulties of the day, was completely marked and staffed at all crossings and dangerous areas.
Concerning the timing Pepe Martinez drove a great race from start to finish completing the test in 2h: 20:58, ranking 87 overall.
Nacho followed 2h: 29:02 and because 127 of the general and Saez with 3h: 08:50 and placed 228 overall.
The next test which will present the JCP Athletics Club will be next Friday 24, Christmas Eve, in the fourth race of Turkey, in Fuente Alamo, and 25 in the Saturday Evening III Cross Orihuela.
Already on the end of the year will present club in San Wild totanero Murcia and Crevillente.
