The Mayor of Totana, José Martínez Andreo, and the councilman of Social Welfare, Juan Carrion, visited the hospital yesterday Lorca "Virgen del Alcázar" and the Residence "home" to compliment the Christmas to the 23 patients admitted to both schools geriatric, and socialize with them and their families facing the dates approach.
City officials were accompanied on his visit by volunteers from the Association "Salus Infirmorum" that throughout the year are responsible for temporary visits to these patients to provide support and distraction.
The mayor thanked the leadership of both schools the focus on patients Totana and praised the work of volunteers that this organization have been doing year after year both in training of new volunteers and provision of care for patients and their families .
In the coming days will visit municipal authorities, as every year, residents in the nursing home "La Purisima" and placement services and alzheimer day, respectively, as well as community centers for the elderly of Totana and the Paretón.
