The Association receives Totana Musical Saturday November 20 at 20:00 the honorary title of Gold Shield of the Loyal and Noble Ciudad de Totana in the framework of an event to be held in the Performing Arts Hall Totana (Film Velasco), coinciding with the celebration of 30 anniversary events.
The mayor of Culture, Esther Esparza, who presented the activities that were organized along with the current president of the company, Juan Carrion, said that this tribute to the work meets all these years is a necessity.
Esparza said that thanks to the work of its director, Ceferino Ayala, and hundreds of people who have been through it, both teachers and students, and the School of Music have formed bands of quality in the municipality.
The most obvious example is that currently, said the mayor, are more than 300 children and young people receive musical training at the School of Music.
Juan Carrión welcomed the event to be held on Saturday, as it has managed to unite the "Family Band" because all the bands that perform at the tribute had been part of the Association.
Thus, the event will begin at 20:00 with the presentation of Gold Shield from the Mayor of Totana, José Martínez Andreo.
Here are presented the book "La Banda Municipal de Música de Totana 1878-2010" written by Juan Cánovas Mulero and Juan Carrión.
This collection, said the president of the Association, summarizes thirty years of the group and evokes major events in which he participated, the recordings of their albums, or their participants.
Also, as anticipated, students will perform the gold of the Municipal School of Music in Totana, the Asocaición of Friends of Music of The Paretón, the Band of San Juan Evangelista, the Musical Association of Totana, and Santiago Coral Totana.
Carrión Totana.com thanked the transfer of photos from your photo archive to illustrate both the poster of the event as the cover of the book "La Banda Municipal de Música de Totana 1878-2010" as well as people who have also given pictures on the history of the band to carry the book.
