The city of Totana SEF received a grant to hire seven unemployed (11/11/2010)

The City Council of Totana, through the departments of Development, Employment and Education has hired a total of seven unemployed for a program called "Reconciliation: Balancing Work and Family Life" funded by the Employment Service and Training Murcia (SEF) and funded by the European Social Fund (ESF) for the provision of services aimed at reconciling work and family life, targeting children of school age.

This program began last October 1 and will last for nine months and will cover up to 30 June 2011 with the hiring of seven monitors free time-time to develop in all schools in the town of Totana and hamlets.

The main objective of this program initiated by the City Council is to facilitate the reconciliation of work and family life while the children are offered recreational activities, training as a means of socializing, sharing personal experiences, leading to common experiences of children that encourage interaction within the environment.

The Councillor for Education, Trini Cayuela, explained that had been detected increasingly in the field needs to reconcile work and family life, and from the government team has once again considered the possibility that this service can getting so globalized, integrated development of children and youth.

Similarly, it greatly facilitates access to employment for many women who do not have the necessary support for this from the extended family.

The purpose of this service, as explained by the Councillor for Education, is to extend the normal opening hours of schools in Totana, Monday to Friday to allow the reconciliation of working parents with children in each of the Totana centers as they have been all schools in the municipality and districts that have requested this program.

Children do stimulating activities, attractive and well planned, always accompanied by a monitor in each of the schools.

These activities include tutoring, workshops, crafts, various games and free play to encourage participation and integration of all children as part of this program.

Social Collective Agreement "Libérula"

Totana City Council has signed a collaboration agreement with the Association of Social Class "Dragonfly" to complete and provide this service to all schools and districts of the municipality.

This agreement had to be carried out with the association, because the subsidy received has been reduced by 50 percent, so that the City making a great effort, has seen the need to collaborate with this group to maintain extension of time in every school and Primary Education and districts of the municipality, as parents have sued him.

From the Department of Education reports that although the first deadline for requesting the use of this service is finished, parents who are interested in this service have a new deadline will remain open until completion of groups in each school and This request must be present at the Citizen Service Totana City Council (SAC) or Socio-Cultural Center Jail.
