"We have been informed by several partners who have come to our organization, that two individuals are collecting signatures and calling for a minimum donation of 5 euros on public roads and in some local establishments. All this on behalf of an Association disabled that their origin is unclear. Some people have related to MIFITO to see the logo displayed on the firms, since it is similar to ours.
According to those who have given us the information, these two individuals posing as deaf people and have a look and a somewhat suspicious attitude.
The Association of Physically Handicapped-MIFITO Totana, we want to make clear that for our part we are doing is collecting signatures and donations.
We have nothing to do with them, and most think that may be a scam for all the information we have gathered.
At other times and in recent months also have come to us information on people who have tried to sell items or ask for donations on behalf of our Association MIFITO.
Make it clear that we have never used these means to raise money because we funded by grants, membership fees and voluntary donations that people come to personally deliver to the Association.
So we know that there are people in our name and are trying to totally illicit financial gain and that it seems as little embarrassing.
