The mayor shows the institutional and economic support to the president of the Illustrious Cabildo Processions Senior Totana (10/11/2010)

The Mayor of Totana, José Martínez Andreo, held a meeting with President of the Illustrious Cabildo Processions Senior, Juan María Zamarreño, in order to account for the work being conducted by the City Council for completion of record Declaration of Regional Tourist Interest Easter Totana, and to analyze issues and issues of interest to the Holy Week events.

In the day's work, the mayor went to the President the full support of City Council to develop this festival and cultural Catholic and will become effective the firm's annual convention that takes place with the City Council.

Martínez Andreo stressed that, despite the difficult situation and that "unfortunately, can not meet the payments of grants to associations as the City Council wanted, the municipal contribution to Easter is unavoidable."

The events of Holy Week, as explained Martínez Andreo, do they reach the town hundreds of people who stay here and endeavor to all economic sectors of the town to move, so is the continuing need for support even better.

In this sense, the mayor also reported work has been performed around the record of Tourist Interest in Holy Week.

This has been one of the priority objectives set for this term and already submitted to the Ministry of Culture, an organization that will sign it.
