Over one hundred professionals and women will gather tomorrow at the II Regional Conference "Education in Equality vs. Gender Violence" to be held at the Hotel Monasterio de La Santa.
In those days, as the area said Councilwoman, Josefa María Sánchez Méndez, one tries to analyze and understand the different courses of action in the process of prevention and intervention of Gender Violence in the Region of Murcia, through professionals working in each of the areas and emphasize the importance of close collaboration and coordination with the entities involved in processes such violence.
Through the presentations, will give a broader view of the victim of gender violence, and to publish the protocols of action being carried out not only from the town of Totana, adopted in plenary on municipal action protocol in cases of domestic violence, prepared by the committee of municipal gender-based violence, but the various protocols of the various public administrations.
Another of the strengths of these days, Sánchez Méndez, is that it will address the role of family and school in the prevention of gender violence, by a specialist in these issues who has worked and is the author of the pioneering program in the Region of Murcia has been conducted in the Institutes called "The Mask of Love."
It also will analyze the gender violence from the legal and police, through a panel that will be part of the same people specialists in this field of action (fiscal, judicial police sergeant, a lawyer, and Local Police .)
Sánchez Méndez stated that this conference will bring together all policy areas where the work done with the problem of gender violence from the social, psychological, family, children, equal education, police and judiciary to deal with this phenomenon socio-cultural from a multidisciplinary perspective.
Course of Gender, Coeducation and Stewardship
The Department of Women and Equal Opportunities within the actions framed in the second Equal Opportunities Plan 2007-2010, has organized a course on "Equality, coeducation and responsibility" that lasts 30 hours and is intended to youth population of the town and begins tomorrow.
